About the author

Roser Calafell

Roser Calafell (Barcelona, 1973) comes from a family of artists, the Llimona family (Modernist painters and sculptors). She studied Illustration at the Llotja de Barcelona and her first job was at Editorial Teide illustrating textbooks. In 1997 she began working at the cartoon production company Cromosoma, drawing and painting the backgrounds for the TV series Les tres bessones, working side by side with Roser Capdevila, the series creator. Simultaneously, she was also illustrating children’s books for the publishing house La Galera, where she now has published over one hundred books, some of which have been translated into English, Turkish and Chinese. She combines her editorial work with designing tags, promotional images and mural drawing.
