Synopsis

Gala and her grandmother love exploring the forest. They discover the bear cave together, say hi to the rabbits and their babies and contemplate the wisest tree of all trees. But as time goes by, the forest gets more and more dirty and there’s a tragedy — a fire. Her grandmother tells her that it’s because of deforestation, and the young girl, who is sad and angry but doesn’t give up, comes up with a brilliant idea to bring life and colour back to the forest.

Laia Berloso (Girona, Catalonia, 1991) graduated in Early Childhood Education and specialized in Visual and Plastic Arts. She currently combines her work as a teacher with illustrating. Among her most recent works, some of the most outstanding are Els angelets de les dents i la Malva (Editorial Base), La bruixa amiga (MMV Edicions) and La vecina más mala de todas las vecinas (La Galera). El mar que más quiero is her first illustrated book.
